"Learning the mechanics of massage, along with the study of anatomy, physiology and related subjects, serve as a basic foundation for a career in massage therapy. However for massage to be therapeutically effective practitioners must utilize all aspects of sensory integration; they must listen with their hands! Only with this personal holistic approach which affects the mind, body and spirit can massage be transformed into a healing art."
